Client Services Volunteers

Counselors
Listen to clients with their hearts and speak to clients with God's voice of truth and hope. Each location needs additional counselors (men, women, and also volunteers who are bilingual) to meet the growing needs of people within the communities we serve. Serve a two- to three-hour daytime or evening shift on a weekly or bi-weekly basis that best fits your schedule.

Translators
Assist in sessions with our Hispanic and Arabic-speaking clients.

Receptionists
Meet and greet clients, answer calls, schedule client appointments, and other light administrative duties.

Data Entry
Enter data into our computer system. Call the location nearest you to see if this is a need they have.

Intercessor
Faithfully pray for the needs of a center or the ministry as a whole. Can be part of a group that prays in the clinic/centers once a month, or can receive prayer requests at home.

Babysitters
Provide loving attention to children in our waiting rooms while their moms and dads meet with a counselor.

Transportation
Drive clients to and from appointments at the clinic/center, the doctor's office, etc.

Clothing Bank
Sort and organize the many material donations we receive.

Couriers
Transport cribs, car seats, and other large items from a well-stocked SVPS location to an SVPS location in need. Set your own schedule.

Speakers' Bureau
Join the Sexual Integrity Ministy as a small group leader or co-facilitator. Help reach young people in local churches, SVPS locations, or area help agencies as they journey through a 12-week small group experience learning about God's plan for their sexuality. Training is provided.

Training is required for all counselors and receptionists. Training materials cost $30 per person and $40 per couple.
